Bicester and Woodstock

Our tactical voting recommendation in Bicester and Woodstock:
Vote Lib Dem

Why vote Lib Dem in Bicester and Woodstock?

Bicester and Woodstock is a new constituency created as a result of population growth in Oxfordshire. Had it existed in 2019, the standard estimates are that it would have voted Conservative by a comfortable margin and that the Lib Dems would have been in second place. However, when there are radical boundary changes the estimates are less certain. Polling indicates that the Conservatives have lost considerable support since 2019 but that it is possible that they could retain the seat because the anti-Tory majority is divided. Labour support has risen, reflecting national trends, but in the constituency campaign between now and election day the Lib Dems will be treating it as a target seat while Labour will not (their attention is focused on Banbury). A larger than average proportion of voters in Bicester and Woodstock are interested in voting tactically to defeat the government.
