Tactical voting

Earley and Woodley

Our tactical voting recommendation in Earley and Woodley:
Vote Labour

Why vote Labour in Earley and Woodley?

Earley and Woodley is a new constituency. It is the seat that makes the difference between a Labour minority and majority. The Conservatives were ahead in the local government elections in May 2024, but with only 37 per cent of the vote. Labour were second with 28 per cent and the Lib Dems, who are active in Wokingham local politics, third with 27 per cent and the Greens fourth. This illustrates the risks of not voting for the best-placed challenger. The latest information from our polling is that Labour are just ahead of the Conservatives. Anti-Conservative voters in the constituency appear particularly willing to vote tactically. The Conservatives will be hoping to recruit Reform UK supporters to vote for them in the absence of a Reform candidate.
