Tactical voting

Stockton West

Our tactical voting recommendation in Stockton West:
Vote Labour

Why vote Labour in Stockton West?

Stockton West is the successor seat to the previous marginal seat of Stockton South. Labour gained Stockton South in 2017 but lost it again in 2019. Latest polling shows Labour comfortably ahead of the Conservatives in this constituency, but polls have tightened during campaigns before and been in error in some previous elections, and the Conservative vote was still strong in the Tees Valley mayoral election in May 2024. The careful voter may well decide that making sure the Conservatives lose this seat is the priority, particularly as the Tories will be trying to squeeze the Reform UK vote.
