Tactical voting
Tatton
Why vote Labour in Tatton?
Tatton has been a Conservative seat since it was created in 1983, except in the 1997 election when Independent candidate Martin Bell won. However, the national swing since 2019 means that Tatton might be in contention in the 2024 general election. If the Tories lose in Tatton they are on for a defeat at least as severe as 1997. The latest polling shows that Labour has a narrow lead over the Conservatives in Tatton, although things can change during election campaigns and polls have been in error in previous elections. The leading party has fluctuated between Labour and Conservative and Labour’s current lead is in part because of the Conservatives losing votes to Reform UK. Voters wishing to see a change of government should vote for Labour.
