Ceredigion Preseli is a new constituency based on the former Ceredigion and part of the Preseli Pembrokeshire seat. Ceredigion was a complex constituency that in recent decades has shifted back and forward between the Liberal Democrats and Plaid Cymru; in 2017 and 2019 it voted for Plaid Cymru. Preseli Pembrokeshire has been Conservative since they gained it from Labour in 2005. Latest polling in Ceredigion Preseli suggests that Plaid Cymru is still in the lead although the vote is splintered between the principal parties. The best chance of averting such an outcome is to cast a vote for Plaid Cymru, the best-placed anti-Conservative party. A high proportion of electors in Ceredigion Preseli are interested in casting a tactical anti-Tory vote.
