Clwyd East is a new constituency created in boundary changes, including Prestatyn, Mold and Ruthin - a mixture of the previous Vale of Clwyd, Delyn and Clwyd South seats which were all Conservative gains from Labour in the 2019 election. Latest polling shows Labour with a comfortable lead over the Conservatives in this constituency, but polls have tightened during campaigns before and been in error in some previous elections, as have model results for constituencies with radical boundary changes. The cautious voter will wish to ensure that the Conservatives are defeated and the clear tactical option is Labour.
